Types
of Labeling Equipment
Various types
of labeling equipment.
Vertical
Wrap Labeling – This type of labeling equipment
works best with round bottles that either have
straight sides or a very small taper, or small
rectangular or square bottles that can travel
easily through the conveyer. You can use labels
that either wrap part of the bottle or wrap
around the entire bottle. This is one of the
best selling labeling systems.
Horizontal Wrap Labeling – This type of labeling
system works best for round items that are
unstable, such as those will round bottoms. The
product is fed through the wrap station on
horizontal rollers.
Top Labeling – This is a very versatile labeling
machine which can be used for a wide variety of
products, from fresh baked rolls to cassette
tapes. It gently places a label on the product
as it passes below the labeling head on a
conveyer. Other common applications for this
type of system include placing a label on the
lid of a round jar or placing a UPC label onto a
box.
Top and Bottom Labeling – This labeling system
is designed to apply a label to both the top and
bottom of flat items. An example of this would
be a box with a customer information label on
the top and a UPC code label on the bottom.
Front and Back Labeling (for one side, two
sides, or even three sides) – This is for
products that can travel well through the
conveyer and need labels on one to three sides.
The bottles can be of various sides, including
oval, rectangular, round, and flat.
Combination Front, Back, Wrap – This is a
machine that can handle all of the tasks listed
above, with just one machine.
