Automatic Set Up Optimization Program
To use the
automatic set up optimization program you will
need to complete the following steps.
-
Thread the labels onto the machine after you
have placed the label roll on the web unwind
table, being sure to remove a label from in
front of the label sensor
-
Determine bottle size and adjust the
pressure pad and guide rails to match
-
Place a bottle onto the conveyer and press
the “F1” key on the integrated controller
welcome menu
The rest
of the work is done by the Self Start routine.
The routine will begin by determining the
correct number of pulses for the bottle as it
passes through the sensor. The next step will be
for the machine to determine the sensitivity
using the backing strip from the label that you
removed. It then starts the stepper and counts
the steps from the leading edge the first label
it senses. From there it is able to distinguish
the appropriate space between the labels. After
this it performs a double check using the
position of the second label and does the
necessary calculation to determine the label
stop position and the appropriate label
dispensing timing. Now it is ready to run your
job perfectly. After set up is complete you can
make adjustment to the application speed without
negatively impacting quality. The best part is
you can now save this set up into memory so
future jobs will be even easier.
