Non
Integrated Control System
Following is
an example of the set up procedures for using a
common non integrated control system to apply
wrap around labels.
It is
important to note that this sequence will need
to be followed every time you use this set up,
not just the first time.
-
Thread the labels onto the machine after you
have placed the label roll on the web unwind
table
-
Determine bottle size and adjust the
pressure pad and guide rails to match
-
Determine and set conveyer speed
-
Determine and set wrap belt speed, ideally
slightly faster than your conveyer speed
- Set
your drive roller speed, which should match
your wrap belt speed
-
Make necessary adjustments to the label
sensor sensitivity
-
Apply settings to the label stop delay
timer, and if needed make changes to the
physical location of the sensor
- Set
the product delay timer, and if needed make
manual adjustments to the product sensor
-
Perform a test run and make any necessary
changes to the wrap belt speed so that it
more closely mirrors the drive roller speed
-
Make needed adjustment frequently throughout
the labeling process
-
Determine whether the labeling speed you
have set is appropriate for the product you
are working with
-
Repeat all of the above steps until you have
achieved the proper running speed
- Run
through a large amount of labels in the
process of determining all of the above
- Be
glad that wrap around labelers are easier to
set up than front and back labelers that
include this type of control system
