High Frequency Response Encoders
All CVC
automatic labeling systems include not only high
frequency response encoders, but upgrade PLCs.
You get
increased accuracy with high frequency response
encoders as they offer up to 360 pulses per
motor revolution, which translates into an
astounding 648,000 pulses per minute if you use
the data from the example on the last page. With
this level of pulses you could obtain a total
variability of no more than two thousands of an
inch.
The one difficulty with using a high frequency
response encoder is that most PLCs do not have
the capacity to count at such a high rate, and
therefore can not take full advantage of this
added accuracy.
